The property is beautiful, far enough away to offer total privacy, but close enough to quickly get to the majority of the best wineries. Easy check in and check out instructions, very clean and well kept, well stocked kitchen for cooking, recently upgraded bathrooms, tons of firewood and a great pool. Perfect space for 6 people to enjoy an amazing long weekend in Napa!

We were a group of 3 couples, so the three guest suites worked out awesome. Everyone was really happy with their room. Family room had a great fireplace, which we gathered around every evening with our wines from the day's tastings, as well as cheese and other snacks from Dean & Delucca and Oakville Market. We prepared lovely meals in the fully stocked kitchen and ate around the the long wooden dining table big enough for 8-10 or at the dining table on the screened porch. Location was PERFECT! Just a short distance from everything. Although we didn't use it, pool was pretty, as were the grounds. House is set-back in the woods with lots of trees. Unfortunately, we had rain the whole trip. But the house was so cozy, when were weren't out doing wine tastings, we played cards and other games that were supplied. LOVED the pool house! My husband and I stayed in that and it was nice and private, just a short little walk by the pool to the main house. No wi-fi out there but the main house did, albeit and little bit of a weak signal and cellular is weak too. House phone worked fine tho for our needs. Next time we return to Napa, we will definitely stay here! Thanks Bob and Martha, for providing such beautiful home.

Great, well maintained property with all the amenities. Well stocked with nearby Safeway for breakfast/coffee supplies to start your day before you head out. Located on the north end of the valley the property was still an easy drive to any of the valley's wineries and dinner in Yountville. Rapid response from Bob to address any questions about the property in the lead up to our visit. Highly recommended. Would return!

The owner of this property has created a comfortable and private retreat in a environment that can not be matched. The main house is perfect for entertaining and preparing meals in grand napa valley style. The swimming pool and patio area is thoughtfully laid out with the pool house's modern light filled design presenting a complementing Northern California vibe.

Bob's St. Helena house was amazing and perfect ! The two bedrooms and guest house all had large beds that were very comfortable for our group. The swimming pool was clean and relaxing. The gourmet kitchen was well equipped and came in handy for cooking breakfast and dinner. The bathrooms were all modern and pleasant. The screened in patio off the main house were perfect for dining and enjoying wine and appetizers. The setting provided us close enough proximity to wineries and restaurants and we were able to take beautiful morning walks through the woods without having to drive anywhere. We would definitely recommend Bob's house to families, couples, friends, etc.

We stayed with two other couples while visiting wine country! This house was perfect for 3 couples. Great secluded location, yet still very close to everything.

In spite of the torrential downpours (#droughtover) we absolutely loved our stay. The house is warm and inviting with plenty of space for all. Everything you need - and then some - is in the house. The pool house is more like a resort, with many windows up and around, which actually made the rain enjoyable. The mountainside views are breathtaking. We will be back. Thanks Bob!

We had a great time during our stay over New Years. The open living area/kitchen was a beautiful retreat for our family. We loved making a fire in the fireplace, playing music, cooking and drinking wine that we picked up during the days at the many wineries down the hill on Silverado Trail and Highway 29. The pool house gets a bit chilly during the Winter months (particularly in the bathroom), but provided a nice separation of space. Highly recommend this rental.

This was an incredible home to stay during our visit to Napa Valley. After busy days visiting different wineries, coming home to this marvelous vacation getaway was just what we needed. It was very quiet, isolated, and all you could hear what sounds of the outdoor insects and different animals deep in the woods. We enjoyed every aspect of this beautiful home. The kitchen was incredible, well stocked and definitely well-suited to the chef that accompanied us on our trip. Our mornings started by building a warm a fire in the large stone fireplace in main building and our nights ended swimming in the pool to the stars in the sky. Each room had their own bathroom, including the pool room. The beds were incredibly comfortable and allowed for luxurious nights of sleeping. We have stayed at many different homes throughout the world utilizing Home and Away/VRBO and this place related as high as any as place we have stayed. When we returned to Napa for future visits, there is no doubt if this place is still available that we would come here again. Thank you Bob are providing us your wonderful home during our vacation.

The house is beautiful and the pool is spectacular. The location is perfect; the house is only 5 minutes from St. Helena, but you feel like you are far from the crowds. Since most of the great Napa wineries are in this area, the house is the perfect base for exploring wine country. I hope to return soon!

This property was beyond our expectations! The open plan, well stocked kitchen has a counter to ceiling wall of paned windows, high ceilings, wood beams, sky lights above, a long dining table, and cozy connected living room. A beautiful stone fire place is backed by a screened in porch for dining and gathering. Two bedrooms flank the living space, each with full private bathrooms with lots of natural light. The grounds are serene with lots of shade from the redwoods and sunlight over the pool. The separate pool house has a fireplace, king bed, sitting area, kitchenette and full bathroom. A perfect getaway retreat from the crowds. We stayed here the weekend our daughter got married in St. Helena. it was perfect for hosting the bridesmaids on the wedding day, and for having family gather the day after to share their stories. We will always cherish the time we spent here!

Just got back from three nights at this incredible property. The property sits in a picturesque grove of oak and redwood trees. Though you are centrally located in the Napa Valley you feel like you are 100 miles from civilization. We had 4 adults and our 2 teenage sons. With the poo,l it was the right mix for all age groups. Main house was great for the adults and the pool house was perfect for our sons. The main house has everything you could possibly need. We really loved being so centrally located in the valley. 20 minutes in either direction gets you to probably 80% of the valley. All of the instructions on how to access the house and get it up and running were very easy to follow and within minutes we felt right at home. We will definitely book this rental again next time we come to Napa.

We were in St. Helena for my son's wedding and chose this home. It was perfect for our needs. Only minutes from town and yet so secluded. The main house, pool house, and pool were fabulous. I would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful place to stay. It was close to Yountville, St. Helena, and most wineries. We never had a problem getting an Uber or cab. The actual house was amazing! You felt like you were in your own world in the middle of the forest. I can't wait to get back!

Six of us rented this property, for 3 nights, for a destination wedding at Calistoga Ranch. It was about 10 minutes from the venue, with very little traffic. We would recommend staying here over any resort in the area and we have been to Solage and Calistoga Ranch. We are coming up on our 10 year college reunion and it was the perfect place for everyone to relax and catch up. If we could have stayed at the house, ate and swam all vacation we would have. It is going to be hard to find a better vacation spot and rental home, it just seemed so perfect. Pros- heated non-chlorinated pool, outdoor speakers, plenty of pool furniture, good night-time outdoor lighting, secluded/private wooded area with amazing redwoods (no neighbors in sight), looks dog friendly (there were bowls, frisbees and a kennel), fully functional/equipped kitchen and charcoal grills, comfortable beds with private bathrooms, lots of windows Cons- pool house did not have A/C but was only warm for a short period of the afternoon when we were usually out, yellow jackets (but we found a trap to set up in the house), some mosquitos (but plenty of bug spray in the house natural and deet based), hot tub was broken, bad wifi and zero reception

Absolutely fantastic place to stay. My family and I spent 4 nights over the Canadian Thanksgiving holiday and we we're very happy. The property is pristine and the accommodations superb. It is an incredibly peaceful property with access to everything you would want. It is less than 10 minutes to groceries and 5 minutes to amazing wineries. Will definitely becoming back in the future. Compared to other high end accommodations in the area the price is great when you take into account the amount of guests and amenities. Each group of my family had their own bedroom and bathroom. My wife and I slept in the smallest of the 3 beds and still were very comfortable. The owners are very quick to respond to any questions and went out of their way to even help us find childcare for a night. Highly recommend this for anyone looking for a relaxing and beautiful get away.

We were a group of six adults touring wineries. This is an ideal location close to everything and secluded at the same time. Beautiful redwoods around the pool, peaceful hillside location. It's great for three couples as everyone has both private and communal space. We will definitely return.

We were in St. Helena to attend my cousin's wedding so it only made sense that we rent a house could accommodate several couples. When I first saw this property online, I was immediately sold as it would be a property I would buy. When we first arrived, I was breathless. The home and the land is just gorgeous. Even the drive up the windy road was pretty. The property is sprawling with mature trees and is very private. Though you may have seemed far from the town, it was just a short few minutes drive in. It has a cabin like feeling but it exceeds being a cabin. The pool area was clean every morning and there was ample seating for everyone to relax. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need. Not sure if a lot of the necessities were leftover from other renters or stocked by the owner but I purchased dish soap and laundry detergent for no reason. It was all there. The 2 bedrooms were very spacious and was nice to have your own separate bathroom. The pool house where I stayed was also very spacious and beautiful. There is no wifi or A/C in the pool house, however we found the big fan on the ceiling was strong enough to keep us cool during the day. Because of its location, and the land it's on, you do have to be aware of critters such as bugs and animals. We enjoy the outdoors so it wasn't an issue with us but just so you're aware that a squirrel may scatter across your feet. The owner was also very prompt to return any of my emails of any questions I had and was pleasant to deal with. If my future travels ever bring me back to St. Helena, I would definitely come back to stay here again.

Perfect getaway for girlfriends having a long due reunion. We didn't have to worry about making too much noise like you would in a hotel setting. We had everything we needed for our meals. Loved all the different sitting areas we could gather especially once the evening mosquitos came, we just moved in to the perfect screened in porch. Our only negative would be the uneven natural stone walk ways to the house from parking area and from the house to the pool. We are in good shape but could easily see how someone could twist foot. We just made sure we came back while it was still light.

We stayed in this fabulous house to attend a wedding in nearby St. Helena. What a treat! From the exquisite kitchen, gorgeous windows, and bucolic surroundings, to the perfectly refreshing pool and glass-walled pool house, everything was, in a word - awesome.

Everything with the property was exactly how it is presented through VRBO. Property is secluded and sits in the forest which was extremely relaxing. Minutes from the winery's. The screened-in porch with an eating area (not within the photos) was beautiful. Main living space has a wow factor with all of the nature light. Was able to have meals multiple times poolside within the screened-in porch and the main dining area. Mid June temp around 90 and cools off at night around 50. Would recommend this property to anyone looking to get away and feeling completely removed and still be in the heart of The Napa Valley.
