This charming beachside cottage sits on a large lot just 1/2 a block from the beach. Our street actually dead ends at the beach. So it feels very private and great for kids because there is no traffic and no streets to cross to get to the beach. The house has large balconies on two sides which provide lots of outdoor space for sunbathing, star gazing, and ocean views.There is always plenty of shade and a cool breeze on the first level perfect for outdoor barbecues, parties or just relaxing. The adjacent lot is perfect for games and fun in the sun. Upstairs you'll find a spacious country kitchen with plenty room, lots of seating and a view of the water. High ceilings make the rooms feel even larger. Of course, the kitchen is equipped with everything you'll need for a great family gathering. The living room is a spacious area with cathedral ceilings, wood plank walls and of course the view. Besides the sofas, in the living area, here are 3 twin beds. Two of the beds sit up against the front windows. Open those windows, let the sound of the ocean and the cool breeze in and I guarantee it's the best place in the house to take a nap. Two bedrooms; one is bright with a queen bed and opens on to the the balcony with a view. The back bedroom has a queen bed and is perfect for a quiet,c cozy retreat. You'll love it. It feels like a beach house.

About the area



We are located in beautiful Palm Beach, a cozy little beach side neighborhood on the west end of the island nestled between two of Galveston's most prestigious subdivisions, Pirates Beach and Pirates Beach West. We are only 8.3 miles from 61st street . We are about 10 minutes from Schlitterbahn Park and Moody Gardens. Just across the highway from us about 2 minutes away is Pirates Cove with it's beautiful gulf course, country club, marina, boat launch, bait shop and luxury dining at the famous Waterman's Restuarant. It's upstairs dining is the perfect place for watching the sunset over the marina and the bay. Ten minutes and you are at the Galveston Seawall with shops and dining and treasures galore. And also Galveston's new Pleasure Pier. Five more minutes and you are in Historic Downtown Galveston. When you step on to the Strand you will feel like you stepped back in time. It is the Main Street of the old Galveston era. Blocks of beautiful old buildings filled now with antique shops, art galleries, ice cream parlors and much more. And on the way back don't forget to take a ride down Broadway. There you will find the old historic mansions. Take a tour if you have time. Or explore the adjacent neighborhoods with miles of old homes, some restored, some not, and get the feel of Galveston in days gone by. There is so much to do here you will just have to come back to the island.

Lodging tax: 15%
Deposits: If paid with a credit card we do not usually require a damage deposit. Although we reserve the right in some cases. Pet fee is $30.00 per dog no refund. To secure a rental we require a minimum of half down. All rental money is due 30 days prior to your arrival. Also, keep in mind that that we can sometimes be flexible about our rates depending on how busy we are. Especially offseason, multiple nights and couples only. We will give a Total refund if there is a hurricane in the Gulf.

Other Fees: Housekeeping fee $100.00 nonrefundable.We clean but the house needs to be left neat and orderly. Linens are not included. Most people bring their own sheets and towels. If you need linens the fee is 150.00. Linens will be provided but you have to put the sheets on the beds No large groups unless you make the prior agreement. If you tell us 7 people that mean no more than 7 people at the house at any time. Rates for holidays, spring break and special events are usually higher than the normal rates
